By downloading, installing, or using the Simfi app ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
These Terms constitute a legal agreement between you and Simfi ("we," "our," or "us"). We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Simfi is a personal finance tool designed to help you organize and visualize your financial information. It is provided for informational and educational purposes only.
Simfi is not a financial advisor, financial planner, investment advisor, or tax professional. Nothing in the App — including budget recommendations, savings projections, wealth projections, goal progress calculations, RRSP/TFSA/FHSA contribution information, CPP estimates, or tax summaries — constitutes financial advice, investment advice, or tax advice.
All projections and calculations in the App are estimates based on the information you provide and simplified assumptions. They are not guarantees of future results. You should not make financial decisions based solely on information provided by Simfi.
We strongly recommend consulting a qualified financial advisor, tax professional, or other licensed professional before making significant financial decisions.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under the age of majority in your province or territory, you should review these Terms with a parent or guardian.

You agree to use Simfi only for lawful personal finance management purposes. You agree not to:
Simfi allows you to manually enter financial data and optionally import bank transactions via CSV file. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter or import. Simfi does not verify, validate, or independently confirm any financial information you provide.
When importing a CSV file, Simfi reads only the transaction date, description, and amount. No other data in the file is accessed. The original CSV file is not retained after import.
The App, including its name, logo, design, code, and content, is owned by Simfi and protected by Canadian and international intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the App.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without our prior written permission.
We aim to keep Simfi available and functioning, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The App may experience downtime due to maintenance, technical issues, or circumstances beyond our control.

We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the App.
By you — you may delete your account at any time from the Profile screen in the App. Account deletion is immediate and permanent. All your data will be deleted and cannot be recovered.
By us — we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or abusive behaviour, or used the App in a way that harms other users or the integrity of the service.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties including but not limited to:
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable Canadian law, Simfi shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, including but not limited to financial losses, loss of data, or loss of goodwill.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the greater of CAD $50 or the total amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Simfi regarding your use of the App and supersede any prior agreements.
